At 1/350 scale this plastic kit builds up into a very impressive model about 35" long (89cm). It's a good boxful with well detailed instructions and decals. The massive flightdeck can be populated with the 22 aircraft models - including 6 F4J Phantoms. American carriers usually make exceptional models and this one certainly does.
The nuclear powered Nimitz commissioned in 1975, joining the Atlantic fleet, ending Enterprise's reign as largest warship in the world. | |

Built in March 1941 the Prince of Wales was the second KGV Class Battleship and the most advanced in the Royal Navy at that time. It took part in the battle against the Bismark on the seas around Greenland when the famous HMS Hood was sunk, being damaged itself but also obtaining a hit on the Bismark. Sent to Singapore it was sunk in the South China Sea by Japanese aircraft, together with HMS Repulse.
Plastic kit with an assembled length of approx 649mm long, 99mm width and 167mm height.
