Wirral 1/1250 HM427AW Saga Rose, cruise ship, c2006
Saga Rose is a second-hand, 1/1250 scale waterline resin model of the Saga cruise ship towards the end of her career,
Built in France as Sagafjord for the Norwegian America Line as a transatlantic liner and fitted with Crossley diesel engines, she was the first of a pair of passenger ships for NAL. After a period of being chartered as a cruise ship, she was bought by Saga Shipping and painted with the blue hull and yellow funnel as modelled here. Wirral modified a Hein Mueck master and produced a limited number of models.
