Produces a stunning model of the German E (or S) boat S10. Finished model is 290mm (11.4") long.
Polystyrene cement and Humbrol paint nos. 3, 16, 19, 27, 33, 34, 53, 64, 74 are required to complete.
The E boats had a great advantage over RN MTB's & MGB's in that they were powered by diesel engines and could therefore stand more punishment (the RN craft had a tendency to catch fire and were much smaller and lighter). But the E boats were very expensive and difficult to build. The Kriegsmarine could never get enough of them so they were never able to fulfill their potential. | |
