Most wooden boat kits require skill and patience in assembly. Usually the easiest to build, some are supplied with either solid or plastic ABS hulls and masts and rig are the hardest part. The most usual form of construction is plank on frame and that requires the most patience and skill.

All the current models we supply are complete with fittings, although most will require glues and finishing tools.

Mantua / Sergal 1/17 English Carronade Naval Gun Kit (801)
The English Carronade was built in the Scottish town of Caron between 1776 and 1779, it was the first barrel cast in foundry or pig iron. A squat gun with short range, the carronade had a devestating effect during close-range naval battles. Two english carronades were carried on Victory's fore-deck. This model kit contains laser cut wooden parts for the gun carriage, deck and ship gun port, with metal barrel, cannonballs and fittings. Illustrated instructions in several languages are supplied.

English caronade - XVIII century This English caronade was built between the years 1776 & 1779 in Caron town Scotland, from which is taken the name. It was the first barrel cast in a pig foundry, realy squat & with short range, but terribly effective during naval battles at short distance. Two english caronades were placed on the H.M.S. Victory’s fore deck.
