Most wooden boat kits require skill and patience in assembly. Usually the easiest to build, some are supplied with either solid or plastic ABS hulls and masts and rig are the hardest part. The most usual form of construction is plank on frame and that requires the most patience and skill.

All the current models we supply are complete with fittings, although most will require glues and finishing tools.

Mantua / Sergal 1/60 HMS Endeavour Captain Cook Ship Wooden Ship Kit (774)
This ship was originally built as a collier in Whitby and was bought and refitted by the Royal Navy in 1768. The works included the addition of a further deck to provide cabin accommodation. She was then re-launched under her new name “Endeavour” and went on to become famous as Captain Cook’s ship in his scientific journey’s of discovery. A plank on frame construction, the kit contains:- Building plans with general details English instructions, lost wax brass castings walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, etched brass details, rigging cord and silk flag. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy.
