| > Waterline 1:1250 Ships > Navis Neptun > Airships | The enormous size of the early 20th Century airships is immediately apparent when these models are viewed along a battleship in the same scale.
Made to a constant scale of 1:1250 to match the waterline ships the metal air ship models are supplied in a Perspex display case that has a nicely finished wooden base with the model supported on two pylons. Finish is good in authentic colours with transfers providing marking detail. The aircraft are of course tiny and aren't in display cases.

Rather nice model of this unusual subject. Mounted on a display stand and measuring 155mm overall (6 1/4").
The United States Navy had an interest in Airships for fleet reconnaissance and (later) as Aircraft Carriers! Los Angeles was built by Zepplin in Germany and the Goodyear Company built the follow on airships in America.
