White Ensign Models 1/700 Royal Navy Banaff Class Escort Sloop Kit (K743)
U.S. Coast Guard Lake class cutter, supplied to the R.N. under Lend Lease for duration of WWII as Banff class sloops.
One of the banff class sloops was HMS Fishguard . She was built by: Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp. in Quincy, Massachusetts, U.S.A. and launched on the 28th September 1927 as USCG Tahoe. She was commissioned to the Royal Navy under the Lend-Lease scheme on the 30th April 1941 and served until 27th March 1946 when she was returned to the United States. Her recommissioning with the USN was cancelled and she was sold on 24 October 1947.
