A waterline resin model of one of the larger U-boat bunkers, it was hit by 6 tallboy bombs during WW2. The structure survived and the roof was strengthened and fitted with steel rails designed to deflect and de-cap bombs, as shown on the model.
The roof is a separate casting, revealing interior details. The building is still in use by the French Navy and rumour has it that the French nuclear submarines are here! | |
