A resin waterline model of a concrete covered dock for the repair and re-supply of German submarines. The roof is a separate casting, allowing interior detail to be seen.
The structure was destroyed by the Allies after WW2 and burried only to be re-discovered recently when the runway at Hamburg Airport was being extended. The site has been cleared and there are moves to preserve the ruin! The model shows the bunker shortly after construction with minimal weathering and AA guns on the roof. | |
