A resin waterline model of a concrete "bomb-proof" dock for the repair & re-supply of German submarines on the island of Heligoland. The roof is a separate moulding.
One of the few U-boat pens on German territory to survive the WW2, the bunker was later used for the building and repair of boats. Modelled here during the war soon after completion with AA guns on the roof and minimal weathering. | |
