Navis Neptun 1/1250 Boyarin, a Russian Protected Cruiser (1902) (C7)

Mined and sunk near Port Arthur during the Russo-Japanese War.

The model is one of the high detail "Copy" models now made by Navis Neptun but not of their origination.

Boyarin was built in 1902 by Burmeister & Wain, another one-off design for the Russian Navy. She was barely 2 years old when she struck a mine off Darien in 1904. It looked as though she might be saved but the tow broke and she drifted on to another mine and sank.
