Navis Neptun 1/1250 Rurik, a Russian Armoured Cruiser, 1895 (C1)
One of the impressive, highly detailed "Copy Models" of warships that fought in the Russo-Japanese War. Despite the photograph, this model is in tropical (white) livery.
When she was building, her reputation worried other countries but in service the design concept proved flawed and obsolescent. She was sunk at Ulsan on 14.8.1904 by shells from Japanese Cruisers.
