The Russians always claimed that no foreign shipbuilders made a profit when supplying their navy. On trials, the Russians insisted on firing full broadsides on Rurik and said that the barbettes became distorted and demanded a refund! There must have been an amicable settlement because Vickers subsequently sent a team to the Nikoliev Yard to help them build the Dreadnought Catherine II ! | |
