Sunk by coastal defences during the invasion of Norway!
Bluecher was the second of the Hipper class cruisers to complete. She was altered before completion to include the "Atlantic" flaired and raked bow. Unfortunately, she nver had a chance to test the improvement because she was needed for the invasion of Norway shortly after commisioning and was sunk trying to force the Drobak narrows by heavy artillery and torpedos from the coastal battery.
