When WW1 broke out, she was in Tsingtao and was armed for raiding by the German Navy. Not the most successful of the WW1 raiders, she was interned in Newport News, USA in 1915. When America entered the war, she was taken over as a troopship, "De Kalb". In 1921 she became "Mount Clay" and was broken up in 1934. | |
