Hessen had served as a Kriegsmarine capital ship for two periods between the world wars before she was converted to a radio-controlled target like Zahringen before her. Pfeil was her dedicated control ship.
These target ships have never been modelled by Neptun and it is easy to see why. The uncluttered look (to minimise damage from a hit on target) disguises any lack of detail between Mercator and Neptun models. Just the thing to display with your Baltic Camouflaged German Warships! | |
