Argonaut 1/1250 USS Lexington, American Aircraft Carrier (1941) (A202)
Converted from Battlecruisers whilst under constuction, Lexington and her sister-ship, Saratoga, became the largest aircraft carriers in the world. They were able to handle very large air groups but they also had 8" guns for defence against warships. Lexington was sunk at the Battle of Coral Sea in 1942 but Saratoga survived WW2 to be expeded in the atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll. The model is painted in a "graded" camouflage pattern.
