You can only enthuse about the quality of these superb  1:1250 merchantmen. Until the end of 2003 Carat operated in conjunction with Classic Ship Collection but both both are now independent and produce models with good definition and excellent definition in the fine detail.
Carat 1/1250 Transcanada, a Poseidon Line freighter, 1970 (079 WL WF)
Transcanada and her sister ship Transamerika were designed to take freight and containers (and 12 passengers) from Europe to Canada and America via the St. Lawrence Seaway. By 1974 she had been sold to Bangladesh Shipping Co. and renamed "Banglar Swapna" and was broken up following collision damage in the 1990s. 
An interesting model of a transitional period container ship.
