Barfleur sailed from Poole to Cherbourg, primarily with lorries, as modelled on deck, but cars were also used to fill up the spaces and Brittany Ferries also advertised the services to caravanners! Barfleur also served on the Swansea to Cork run but not in the livery shown on the model.
