You can only enthuse about the quality of these superb 1:1250 merchantmen. Until the end of 2003 Carat operated in conjunction with Classic Ship Collection but both both are now independent and produce models with good definition and excellent definition in the fine detail.

Carat 1/1250 Circassia, an Anchor Line Passenger Ship on the UK to India service, 1937 (022 WL WF)
Built by Fairfield, Govan in 1937, she was taken over in 1940 and converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and a troop transport. In 1943 she was used as a landing ship and returned to Anchor Line and the Bombay run in 1947.

The model is fully rigged and handrails and deck stantions are modelled. She was not a particularly fast ship, her maximum speed being 16.5 kt. She soldiered on until 1966 and was broken up at Alicante. Sistership Cilicia.
