Tri-ang Minic Ships 1/1200 USS Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier Diecast Model (P800)
The largest model of Tri-ang Minic's new US range is the Nimitz. An impressive 11'' long, it will dominate any 1:1200 scale waterline ship model collection.

Nimitz was laid down on the 22nd June 1968 at Newport News Shipbuilding and commissioned on the 3rd May 1975. The ship was named for  the WWII Pacific fleet commander, Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. As from 16th March 2007 Michael Manazir assumed command of the Nimitz.

A total of 90 fixed and rotary wing aircraft can be carried.
