Revells' easy to assemble plastic Minikit series produces scale models of well-known ships in 1/1200 scale. This small scale allows even quite large ships to be modelled and displayed on a stand or as part of a diorama in a convenient space. Paint and glue are required. The last battleship of the German Navy!

The battleship Tirpitz, like its sister the Bismarck, had the heaviest artillery ever installed on German ships. Overall barrel length was 19.6m and the weight of a single gun barrel 111 tonnes. Tirpitz entered service in 1941 and on 1st April 1944 in a Norwegian fjord near Tromsö was hit by Grand Slam bombs dropped by Lancasters and capsized.
